摘要

19世纪末20世纪初,朝鲜半岛脱离传统的中华天下秩序,融入西方世界的"条约体系".在日本的殖民压力下,大韩帝国艰难地支撑着"独立"之名.朝鲜半岛人将救国的期待寄托于历史教育与书写,官方和民间先后主导编刊了十余部历史教科书,表达了建构民族认同的社会诉求.作为社会转型期的产物,大韩帝国历史教科书受到国内开化改革势力、爱国史家及日本殖民势力的影响,其历史书写混杂了传统"东国"史观、民族主义史观、殖民主义史观等历史观念.历史教科书采取以民族为本位的述史模式,通过始祖建构加强民族起源书写,实现对民族历史的溯源,制造共同的历史记忆,但在传统中华天下秩序中作为"东国"的区域史书写范式及历史观念仍有余响;加之日本殖民势力对朝鲜史书写的介入,导致历史教科书无法再书写独立与自主,大韩帝国覆亡后旋即遭到封禁.在东亚原有政治秩序解体的历史语境下,大韩帝国历史教科书是近代转型期朝鲜半岛史学的显性表达,展现了力图塑造民族认同的逻辑与理路.

Abstract

In the late 19 th and 20th centuries,the Korean Peninsula broke away from the traditional Chinese world order and was integrated into the'treaty system'of the West.Under the colonial pressure of Japan,the Korean Empire struggled to maintain its nominal independence.The people in the Korean Peninsula pinned their hopes for national salvation on historical education and historical writing.More than ten volumes of history textbooks have been compiled and published by the government and the civil society,which expressed social demands for the construction of the national identity.As the products of social transformation,history textbooks of the Korean Empire were influenced by domestic forces of civilising reform,patriotic historians,and the Japanese colonial forces.Therefore,their historical writing mixed the traditional historical view of the'Eastern Kingdom',nationalist historical view,colonial historical view,etc.History textbooks adopted a nation-based narrative mode and strengthened the writing of the origin of the nation through the construction of ancestors,so as to trace the origin of national history and create common historical memory.However,the traditional Chinese world order still had an influence on the regional history writing norms and historical concepts of the'Eastern Kingdom'.In addition,the Japanese colonial forces intervened in the history writing,which resulted in consequences that history textbooks could no longer write about independence and autonomy,and were banned immediately after the collapse of the Korean Empire.In the historical context of the disintegration of original political order of East Asia,history textbooks of the Korean Empire were explicit expression of the historiography of the Korean Peninsula during the modern transition,demonstrating the logic and order in the process of shaping national identity.
