The issue of Afghan refugees in Iran has gone through a relatively long historical process of development. In recent years, the problem has worsened and become a major security concern for Iran and the Middle East.On the one hand, the social, economic, religious, security and other problems caused by Afghan refugees over the past 40 years in Iran have become increasingly prominent in recent years, which even culminated in the occurrence of an unprecedented terrorist attack in the eighth Imam Reza Mosque. This chronic illness has led to the"Afghan phobia"in the hearts of many Iranians, and the anti-refugee voice in Iran has also been on the rise.On the other hand, the restrictive policies faced by Afghan refugees in the immigration process and life in Iran have led to a gradual accumulation of discontent among Afghans, which has even led to the appearance of the"Iranophobia"headline in Afghan media,a commonplace in Western countries. In fact, the emergence of"phobia"is not only a manifestation of the accumulation of the refugee issue to a certain extent, but also a revelation of the dilemma facing the refugee governance in Iran.
