Biological characteristics of the mycelium of Bipolaris fujianensis,a novel shoot blight pathogen of Chinese fir
Bipolaris fujianensis was a novel pathogenic fungus of Chinese fir shoot blight. To clarify its biological characteristics, the growth rate method was used to observe the effects of different temperatures, light conditions,pH values, media, carbon and nitrogen sources on the growth of the mycelium. The results showed that the mycelium of B.fujianensis grew at a rate of 1.61 cm/d on PDA medium at 25℃,the optimum growth temperature range was 25-30℃,the optimum light condition was an interval 12 h alternative light and dark.It could grow normally within a pH range of 5-13,and the optimum pH value range was 6-9.The growths of mycelium in different media were significantly different, the colony grew better on soybean, oat sucrose and corn flour medium, and the colony growth rates were faster. The most suitable carbon sources were sucrose and fructose, and the most suitable nitrogen source was beef extract. The results can provide a theoretical foundation for researching the epidemic patterns and control methods of Chinese fir shoot blight caused by B.fujianensis.
