Measures to Increase Estrus Detection Rate on Large-scale Cattle Farms
The detection rate of estrus in cows is directly related to the mating and conception rate of the breeding farm,which in turn affects the breeding and economic benefits of the entire breeding farm.On traditional cattle farms,it is mainly through observing the physiological,behavioral and vaginal characteristics of cows to identify whether cows are in estrus,which has high professional requirements for personnel and high cost,and is not suitable for large-scale identification work on large-scale cattle farms.At the same time,there are still some technical and facility problems on large-scale breeding farms,which also lead to the low detection rate of cow estrus.The physical characteristics of estrus in cows were pointed out,the problems on current large-scale estrus detection on cattle farms were introduced,and several measures were provided to improve the detection rate of estrus in cows for references.The comprehensive application of these measures will help to improve the detection rate of cow estrus on large-scale cattle farms,and then improve the breeding efficiency and production level of cattle,so as to promote the healthy development of large-scale cattle breeding.
