Comparative Study on in vitro Bacteriostatic Ability of Different Types of Acidifiers
In order to evaluate the antibacterial effects of different types of acidifiers in vitro, six common types of complex acidifiers were selected. The bacteriostatic effects of six different types of acidifiers(formic acid type Ⅰ,phosphoric acid type, lactic acid type, fumaric acid type, citric acid type and formic acid type Ⅱ)on four harmful bacteria(Escherichia coli,Salmonella,Staphylococcus aureus and Clostridium perfringens)and four beneficial bacteria(Bifidobacterium longum subsp.Infantis,Clostridium butyricum,Lactic acid bacteria and Lactobacillus acidophilus)were observed by plate culture method. Thus, the formulation of compound acidifier with excellent antibacterial effect in vitro was determined. The results showed that formic acid type Ⅰ,citric acid and fumaric acid had strong inhibitory effects on both harmful and beneficial bacteria. However, lactic acid and phosphoric acid were relatively good, which could inhibit harmful bacteria to a large extent, while still ensuring the survival of a large number of beneficial bacteria.
