Application of SSR Molecular Markers in Maize Research
SSR(simple sequence repeat)is a molecular marker technology for PCR amplification analysis by specific primers,also known as microsatellite DNA.The principle of SSR molecular markers was introduced,and the application of SSR molecular markers in germplasm resources,variety purity identification,authenticity identification,genetic diversity and germplasm traits of corn was analyzed.The results showed that SSR molecular marker technology could be used to analyze the variety purity identification,authenticity identification,genetic structure,genetic relationship,division of superior and inferior groups,germplasm traits and other aspects of corn,and also could provide references for future researches on the construction of genetic linkage map of corn,molecular marker-assisted breeding,gene mapping,germplasm resources and other aspects.
