The vast corpus of Chinese cultural classics is rich in water culture elements.The appreciation and study of the translation of these"water"culture classics provide opportunities to discover more or less,hidden or apparent deficiencies in the translation of cultural classics but also inspire us in both the"Dao"(the way)and the"Ji"(the techniques)of translating national classics.The preservation of the national classic nature should be the objective and subjective dependency for the success or failure of cultural classics'translation.To effectively isolate the de-nationalization,de-classicization,and de-culturalization in the translation of cultural classics and achieve the preservation of national classic authenticity,it is necessary to deepen the harmonious thinking and the method of conveying principles of traditional culture,and more importantly,to abandon the popular approach of replacing translation with explanation,aiming for flattery,and valuing price over worth.
