Preparation and Performance of Nano-Montmorillonite Modified Polylactic Acid/Polycaprolactone Composites
Poly(lactic acid)/poly(caprolactone)(PLA/PCL)is an environmentally friendly biodegradable composite, but the poor mechanical properties limit its range of use.PLA/PCL/NMM was prepared by doping nano montmorillonite(NMM)into the PLA/PCL matrix, and the performance of PLA/PCL/NMM was characterized using X-ray diffraction(XRD),dynamic mechanical performance analyzer(DMA),and thermogravimetric analyzer(TG).The results show that when the NMM doping content is 3%,the composite has good comprehensive performance. The tensile strength and elastic modulus of PLA/PCL/3%NMM are 58.1 MPa and 4.1 GPa,respectively, which are 31.4%and 41.4%higher than PLA/PCL.The fracture elongation and impact strength of PLA/PCL/3%NMM are 6.4%and 48.1 J/m2,respectively,which are 14.3%and 15.6%higher than PLA/PCL;The storage modulus of PLA/PCL/3%NMM is increased to 2 380 MPa.The T5%of PLA/PCL/3%NMM is 312℃,indicating an enhanced thermal stability of the composite.
