Study on Preparation and Properties of Water-Dispersible Ink Polyurethane Resin
Water-dispersible polyurethane(PU)resins were prepared with toluene diisocyanate(TDI),polyoxypropylene glycol(PPG),2,2-dimethylol propionic acid(DMPA),isophorone diamine(IPDA)and N-(β-aminoethyl)-γ-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane(KH-792)as the main raw materials.Waterborne plastic printing inks is formulated using PU resin. The molecular structure of PU was characterized by infrared spectroscopy. The effects of KH-792 content on the thermal stability, viscosity, mechanical properties, water resistance and ink properties of PU resin were studied. The results showed that with the increase of KH-792 content, the initial thermal degradation temperature, the carbon residual rate of thermal weight loss, viscosity, tensile strength and elongation at break of PU resin increased gradually, and the water absorption first decreased and then increased. With the increase of KH-792 content, the viscosity of the prepared ink increased gradually, the fineness decreased first and then increased, and the adhesion fastness, storage stability and boiling resistance increased first and then decreased. When the amount of KH-792 was 10%,the comprehensive performance of PU resin and its ink was the best.
