Preparation and Properties of Polypropylene/Polydimethylsiloxane Dustproof Composites
In order to improve the dustproof performance of the polymer, polypropylene(PP)was used as the matrix, and polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)and internally added antistatic agent(JN-MN)were used as fillers to prepare polypropylene/polydimethylsiloxane(PP/PDMS)and polypropylene/polydimethylsiloxane/antistatic agent(PP/PDMS/K)dustproof composites by melt blending. The composite was tested by Fourier infrared analyzer, contact angle tester, field emission scanning electron microscope and universal testing machine. The effects of different content of PDMS and antistatic agents on the dustproof properties, surface resistivity, crystallization properties and mechanical properties of the composites were investigated. The results show that with the increase of PDMS content, the hydrophobic properties of PP/PDMS composites gradually increase. When the PDMS content is 8%,the water contact angle of the composite increases by 27.7%,and the surface energy decreases by 7.13%.When the content of antistatic agent increases, the crystallinity of the composites decreases, and the surface resistivity decreases by 5 orders of magnitude compared with pure PP.Adding 3%antistatic agent has reached saturation, the dust removal rate of PP/PDMS/K composite increases to 88.93%,the tensile strength and bending strength decrease, but the impact toughness still maintains a high level.
