Study on Frictional and Mechanical Properties of Chloroprene Rubber Material for Shock Absorption
Rubber material is one of the important raw materials for shock absorption products,it has high reactivity and requires significant improvement in material properties through the vulcanization process.Compared with nitrile rubber materials prepared by lotion hydrogenation, solution hydrogenation and ethylene acrylonitrile copolymerization, chloroprene rubber(CR)materials prepared by free radical lotion polymerization technology have superior vulcanization performance. The article explores the Mooney viscosity,Mooney scorch time, vulcanization characteristics, friction properties, mechanical properties, and shock absorption performance of CR materials by taking the CR materials of xanthic acid regulated, thiol regulated, and sulfur regulated as the matrix. The results show that in terms of shock absorption, the Mooney viscosity, vulcanization degree, sulfur addition index, crosslinking density, tensile strength, elongation at break, hardness, tear strength, and resilience index of sulfur regulated CR material vulcanized rubber are the highest, but the Mooney scorch time,Mooney vulcanization time, and scorch time are the shortest, which poses significant processing safety hazards. The mechanical performance indicators of xanthan acid regulated CR material vulcanized rubber are moderate, including tensile strength, elongation at break, hardness, and tear strength. The average friction coefficient of thiol regulated CR material vulcanized rubber is the highest, the brittleness temperature is the lowest, and the ratio of dynamic and static stiffness is the lowest. It has good wear resistance, cold resistance, and shock absorption performance.Therefore,in-depth analysis of the friction and mechanical properties of CR materials in shock absorption can provide useful references for upgrading vibration control technology in the elevator field.
