Status and countermeasures of pest control for termites and other dam damaging animals in Guangxi water conservancy project
In order to improve the management of water projects in Guangxi,and ensure the safe operation of water pro-jects,we combined the survey data for 2023 on the damage caused by termites and other dam damaging animals in Guan-gxi,systematically analyzed the damage rates of various dam damaging animals in different scales and types of water con-servancy projects in Guangxi in 2023,explored their spatial characteristics,and proposed issues and countermeasure sug-gestions.The results showed that the water conservancy projects in Guangxi were primarily affected by termite damage,with termite damage rates of for reservoir dams,rates of other dam-damaging animals on reservoir dams,and rates of other dam-damaging animals on embankments were 57.16％,2.40％and 1.54％,respectively,and all of which were higher than the national average.The damage rates in each city exhibited significant spatial heterogeneity.The six pro-posed countermeasure suggestions were helpful to solve the problem of dam damaging animals on embankments in Guan-gxi.The research results can provide a references for the operation and management of water conservancy projects.
