Du Mu's Trip to Shangwu Ancient Road and Related Works
Du Mu had trips to the Shangwu Ancient Road at least three times,in addition to the four times he himself related in his collected works.The Shangwu Ancient Road is mentioned in thirteen of Du Mu's poems that have persisted until this day.The following place names are mentioned in the poem:"Shangshan","Qinling","Qingniban","Lanqiao","Lanxiqiao","Danshui","Majian","Cengfengyi","Wuguan","Qingyunguan",and"Fushuiyi".The rationality of considering history,admiring courageous and honest consultants,expressing the goal of establishing a prosperous career and the emotion of attachment to his hometown,implying the double pressure of livelihood and affection,and briefly revealing the desire to return to nature are all reflected in Du Mu's Shangwu-related poems.There are several cultural connotations in these poems.
