The Cost-efficient Implementation of the Fast Ethernet-based VLC System
In order to overcome the current bottlenecks in Visible Light Communication(VLC)device design and cost, and to promote a more widespread adoption and application of VLC,a solution that combines high-speed Ethernet is proposed and implemented with VLC.The approach involves modulating visible light using the MLT-3 signal directly output from the RJ45 port.Due to the bandwidth limitations of LED modulation, equalization techniques are employed here to expand the transmitter's bandwidth. The results indicate a stable real-time transmission averaging 94 Mbps at distances of 2 m and 0.2 m.This solution addresses the complexities and high costs associated with VLC,offering the potential to drive the widespread application of visible light communication technology in the field of wireless communication.
