A Study Research on Recovery of Copper and Silver from Zinc Anode Mud
In order to reduce the environmental pollution caused by anode slime and recycle the valuable metals contained within it,a pretreatment process involving ultrasonic wave and atmospheric pressure leaching of copper was conducted using anode slime generated during the zinc electrowinning process at Shaanxi Zinc Industry Co.,Ltd.as the raw material.Subsequently, the pretreated product was used to study the effects of factors such as leaching temperature, sodium sulfite concentration,pH value, and ultrasonic frequency on the silver leaching rate using an ultrasonic-sodium sulfite leaching method. The samples were analyzed using X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),and inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry(ICP).The results showed that the optimal conditions for copper leaching were a sulfuric acid concentration of 2.0 mol/L,a reaction temperature of 70 ℃,a reaction time of 60 minutes,a liquid-to-solid ratio(mL∶g)of 4∶1,an aeration rate of 0.2 L/min,and an ultrasonic frequency of 80 KHz,achieving a copper leaching rate of 87.36%.The optimum leaching conditions for Ag were as follows:leaching temperature was 30 ℃,sulfite concentration was 200 g/L,pH value was 8,ultrasonic frequency was 80 KHz,and the leaching rate of Ag was 96.27%.
