A comparative study on the field cultivation of Atractylodes chinensis seeds from different years
Atractylodes chinensis, also known as Cangzhu, mountain prickly lettuce, gunner's head lettuce, etc.,is a perennial herb in the genus Cangzhu of the family asteraceae. This study utilized SPSS software for statistical analysis to examine the differences in plant height, functional leaf width, leaf length, and leaf thickness among plants,to compare the field cultivation effects of Atractylodes chinensis seeds harvested in 2020 and 2021 with those harvested in 2022,aiming to investigate the impact of seed grade and storage duration on the growth status of the plants. The results indicated that, under conditions of no treatment or treatment with the carbendazim,it was recommended to prioritize the use of first-grade Atractylodes chinensis seeds harvested in 2022 for field cultivation. When applying bacterial fertilizer(Bacillus subtilis)treatment,first-grade seeds harvested in 2020-2022,were all suitable for use.In summary,to enhance the cultivation efficiency of Atractylodes chinensis,it is advisable to prioritize the selection of seeds from the most recent year and with higher grade.
