Research Frontiers and Hot Topics of American Educational Anthropology in 21 Century:A Visualized Analysis Based on Anthropology & Education Quarterly
By using Cite Space software to visually analyze the articles published on Anthropology&Education Quarterly in 2000-2023,the paper conduct co citation literature emergence analysis and key-word clustering analysis on the topics and fields of concern in the field of educational anthropology in the United States.The research showed:1.The evolution of the topic of human education in the United States can be divided into three stages.From 2000 to 2009,it mainly reflected on classical theories and paid atten-tion to policies.From 2009 to 2015,it mainly explained educational inequality and focused on the teaching and learning process.From 2015 to 2023,it mainly focused on anthropological research methods;2.The hot areas of educational anthropology in the United States involve revealing the relationship between education-al and cultural processes and reproduction,revealing the educational dilemmas of specific groups such as race,class,and gender,as well as paying attention to subject identity,learning context,and teaching knowl-edge funds;3.The focus on subject identity,learning context,and teaching knowledge funds is not only a cutting-edge but also a high-frequency hot topic.This overall reflects three trends in American educational anthropology:from focusing on macro explanations to focusing on micro revelations;From collecting rele-vant information to analyzing relevant information;From critical interpretation to constructive intervention.
