The Confucian Culture of Imperial Rituals in Qing Dynasty from The Imperial System Updated Qing Wen Jian
The Qing Dynasty attached great importance to Confucian culture. In the process of inherit-ing the old rituals of the Ming Dynasty and adjusting the rituals of Manchuria, they always took Confucian Canon system as the foundation. However,as a minority regime that occupied the Central Plains, its accep-tance of Confucian culture had a gradual process from the simple to the deep, which led to differences be-tween the sacrificial words collected in official Manchu dictionaries and the traditional records of the cen-tral plains, and also showed the mutual integration of Manchu and Han cultures.Until the Qianlong Dynas-ty,the rituals of the Qing Dynasty became more and more mature. On the one hand,Emperor Qianlong re-spected the ancient rituals and traced the source of Confucian rites. On the other hand,Emperor Qianlong adjusted the ancient rituals. This process not only reflected the profound Confucian attainments of Emperor Gaozong, but also helped to maintain the system and consolidate the political power.
