Fuel Consumption and Ecological Effect in Northeast China during the Jin Dynasty
The fuel in the northeast of the Jin Dynasty was mainly from the surrounding natural for-ests,with firewood and charcoal as the bulk. The Jin Dynasty was in the third cold period in China, and the long cold winter, coupled with the growth of population and the prosperity of smelting industry, greatly in-creased fuel consumption. However, the northeast region of Jin Dynasty was rich in natural forest resources and sparsely populated in general.People's cutting and burning of charcoal did not cause irreversible dam-age to forest resources, but there was a regional ecological crisis in some areas. From the perspective of fuel consumption and ecological effect in Northeast China in Jin Dynasty, this paper discusses the relationship between man and land in Northeast China in order to better understand the environment and society in Northeast China in Jin Dynasty, and provide reference for environmental protection and social development policies in Northeast China today.
