Research on the Integration of Red Genes into the Ideological and Political Education of College Students in Multi-ethnic Areas——A Case Study of Pu'er University
Pu'er City in Yunnan Province is a border region with multi-ethnic groups,and it has abundant red cul-tural resources.As a university located in a multi-ethnic region,unearthing red resources and telling revolutionary stories is not only an important means of inheriting red genes and doing a good job of ideological and political educa-tion for college students,but also an important measure of consolidating the sense of common community of the Chi-nese nation.This paper takes Pu'er College as an example to explore the practical pathways and methods for integrat-ing red genes into the ideological and political education of college students in multi-ethnic regions,including:mak-ing good use of local red resources to build a base for promoting ethnic unity and progress;giving full play to the ex-emplary and leading role of students to achieve self-education,self-management,and self-service among college students;building a distinctive ethnic unity and progress education curriculum system through party building-led youth work;and striving to build a big-to-small school thought political education integrated system and create a distinctive brand of thought political education courses.Integrating red genes into the ideological and political edu-cation of college students is to educate people for the party and nurture talents for the country.
