With the continuous advancement of ideological and political education in higher education courses,how to effectively integrate ideological and political elements into foreign language courses in universities has become a research focus.This paper analyzes the existing problems and current research status of ideological and political education in the applied undergraduate business English program.It constructs a blended teaching model for business English courses based on the multiliteracies theory and explores the establishment of an evaluation method for ideological and political teaching in business English courses.The results of the teaching practice research show that,based on clearly defined"dual objectives"of business English courses and the framework of ideological and political education,integrating authentic practice,clear guidance,critical framing,and transformative practice into the blended teaching process of business English courses through the multiliteracies theory helps to enhance the effectiveness of ideological and political education.
