From Ancient Times to the New Birth——A Brief Description of Evolution of Administrative Divisions in Sanmenxia
Sanmenxia now has jurisdiction over Hubin District,Shanzhou District,Lingbao City,Yima City,Mianchi County and Lushi County.As one of the birthplaces of Chinese civilization,Sanmenxia has a long history and profound cultural heritage.It went through multiple stages of evolution and was gradually formed under various conditions in the historical period,which generally experienced four historical processes from Pre-Qin to Spring and Autumn and Warring States,Qin and Han Dynasties to Early Northern Wei Dynasty,late Northern Wei Dynasty to Ming and Qing Dynasties,and the Republic of China to the present.The historical heritage of the integration of political districts in the historical period is finally presented in the form of the prefecture-level city-Sanmenxia in contemporary society.The formation of it reflects its historical development process and characteristics from ancient times to the new birth.
