This paper analyzes the high-speed rail and highway connections,economic link strength,and city headship degree of 30 cities in the integration of the Central Plains Urban Agglomeration,and reveals the core challenges faced by the urban agglomeration in the process of integration.It is found that although the internal transportation network construction of the urban agglomeration is relatively perfect,there are still problems such as unbalanced development,insufficient industrial coordination,weak inter-provincial transportation and economic links between some cities.In addition,Zhengzhou,as the core city,has a low headship degree,which fails to fully exert its leading effect,restricting the overall level of regional collaborative development.To address these issues,this paper proposes comprehensive strategic suggestions such as optimizing administrative divisions,improving transportation infrastructure,building an industrial coordination platform,and enhancing the radiation capacity of central cities,aimed at providing theoretical support and practical paths for the high-quality integration development of the Central Plains Urban Agglomeration.
