Evaluation of Heavy Metal Pollution in Rice in a Suburban Area of Shanghai City from 2021 to 2023 Health Risk Assessment
This article collected a total of 161 rice samples from a suburban area of Shanghai city from 2021 to 2023.The single pollution index method and comprehensive pollution index method were used to evaluate the pollution situation of rice, and the health risks caused by the intake of these five heavy metals through rice were also evaluated. The monitoring results show that the single pollution index and comprehensive pollution index of heavy metals are both less than 0.7,indicating that 161 rice samples are at a safe level and have not been contaminated. The target hazard quotient(THQ)of the five heavy metals for all populations is less than 1.0,indicating that rice heavy metals do not have potential hazards. The total target hazard quotient(TTHQ)assessment shows that all populations are less than 1.0,indicating a lower non carcinogenic risk.
