Investigation on the Current Situation of Sulfur Dioxide Residues in Common Foods in a Certain City
Sulfur dioxide,as a commonly used food additive,has been widely used in food processing.Excessive use may pose potential hazards to human health.In order to understand the situation of sulfur dioxide residues in common foods in a certain city's jurisdiction,a one-year special monitoring activity was carried out on common foods in the jurisdiction using a sulfur dioxide rapid detection kit.It was found that out of 23 688 common food samples tested,1 798 were positive,and the positive detection rate of sulfur dioxide residue was 7.59%.The positive rate of rose products(23.53%),dried fruit products(20.93%),rolls of dried bean milk creams products(16.67%)and bamboo shoot products(16.26%)was higher;according to monthly surveys throughout the year,it was found that the positive detection rate in the city significantly decreased in the second half of the year,which is speculated to be related to the high-frequency testing and legal education carried out in the second half of the year.
