Determination of Squalene Content in Rapeseed Oil by Gas Chromatography
Objective:To establish a gas chromatography method for squalene in rapeseed oil.Method:The samples were saponified by potassium hydroxide and methanol solution,extracted with n-hexane,separated by HP-5 column,analyzed by gas chromatograph,and quantified by external standard method.Result:At 10～100 mg·L-1,squalene showed a good linear relationship,the correlation coefficient was 0.999 8,the recovery was 91.0%～98.7%,the relative standard deviation was 3.2%～6.5%,the limit of detection was 1 mg·kg-1,and the limit of quantification was 3.5 mg·kg-1.Conclusion:The method has good linearity,accurate results and high precision,and is suitable for the determination of squalene content in rapeseed oil.
