Study on the Detection of Salmonella Using a Detection Kit Based on Saltatory Rolling Circle Amplification
Salmonella can cause foodborne diseases and seriously endanger food safety and human health. Therefore, the development of new detection methods is particularly important. This study is focused on the application of a novel nucleic acid amplification method, saltatory rolling circle amplification, developed independently by our research team.We utilized this method to create a detection kit specifically designed for Salmonella, and the performance of this kit was evaluated. The results demonstrate that the kit exhibits excellent specificity for detecting Salmonella, with a sensitivity of 4.1×101 CFU·mL-1 and a shelf life of up to 90 days. These results indicate that the detection kit is reliable, sensitive, and stable, thus meeting the demand for rapid Salmonella testing in food products.
