Analysis of Heavy Metal Content Characteristics of Tropical Fruit Mangoes in Hainan
Objective:To understand the characteristics of heavy metal content and pollution level in tropical fruit mangoes in Hainan.Method:The contents of eight heavy metals in Hainan tropical fruits and mangoes were determined by microwave-inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(MD-ICP-MS).Then the pollution index is used to evaluate the pollution degree.Result:The established method showed good linearity in the concentration range of 0~50 μg·L-1 with the correlation coefficients greater than 0.995.The recoveries ranged from 91.2%to 108.0%at the spiked level of 5 μg·mL-1,and the RSD were from 0.14%to 4.53%.The heavy metal contents in mango varied over a wide range, with the highest average content of heavy metal Cu at 2.72 mg·kg-1,and Hg and As were not detected. Conclusion:The established method has high precision, simple and rapid operation, and can be used for the simultaneous determination of various heavy metals in mango. The heavy metal contents of the measured mango samples were lower than the corresponding prescribed limits and did not exceed the limits, which are clean and safe foods.
