Analysis and Study on Cadmium Content in Rice(Brown Rice)and Planting Soil in Chongqing City
Objective:Understand the pollution status of cadmium in rice in Chongqing, analyze the possible sources of cadmium in rice, and provide data support for regulatory authorities.Method:Randomly select 12 counties from the main rice producing areas in Chongqing for sampling, including 311 batches of rice and brown rice,as well as 311 batches of corresponding planting soil for rice and brown rice, for cadmium content detection and analysis of the samples.Result:The monitoring and inspection of cadmium in 311 batches of rice and brown rice detected 57 batches of unqualified samples(see Annex 2 for details),with an overall unqualified rate of 18.3%;The median and average values of cadmium content in the soil corresponding to 311 batches of rice were 0.150 mg·kg-1 and 0.282 mg·kg-1,respectively.Conclusion:This study analyzed the content of cadmium in rice and its corresponding soil produced in various districts and counties of Chongqing. The areas with severe cadmium pollution in rice are mainly those with abundant mineral resources and those involving chemical industrial parks. It indicates that the cadmium content in brown rice grown in planting soil with high cadmium content may be higher,This further confirms that rice has a strong enrichment effect on heavy metal cadmium in soil.
