Food additives are the most widely used additives in the food industry,which have been in the spotlight in recent years.Applying them to food production can not only extend the shelf life of food,but also improve its taste,color,nutritional value,and function.However,with the increasing awareness of food safety and health among people,its negative effects are gradually emerging.This article mainly explores the challenges in the research and development of food additives,proposes the application points of food additives in food research and development,and aims to provide assistance for the stability of China's food safety situation.
