Residues of Procymidone and Dietary Risk Assessment in Fruits and Vegetables of Chancheng District Foshan City,2023
Objective:To investigate the residual situation of procymidone in various types of fruits and vegetables sold in Chancheng district,Foshan city,in order to promptly identify potential food safety hazards and conduct risk warnings. This study aims to provide scientific evidence for food safety risk assessment, the formulation or revision of food safety standards, and the implementation of targeted control measures.Method:A total of 200 samples of six types of fruits and vegetables were randomly collected from various sales and distribution channels in four townships and streets of Chancheng district,Foshan city. The samples were purified using the QuEChERS method. The content of procymidone was detected by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry according to GB 23200.113-2018.Based on the detection results, acute and chronic dietary risk assessment methods as well as the food safety index method were used to evaluate the health risks associated with the residual situation and the resulting health impacts on residents.Result:In this study, procymidone was detected in 43 samples, with a detection rate of 21.50%.There was a statistically significant difference in the detection rate of procymidone among different types of samples(χ2=46.735,P<0.01).However,there was no statistically significant difference in the detection rate of procymidone among samples from different distribution channels(χ2=3.251,P=0.196>0.05).Overall,there was no significant difference in the number of detections of procymidone in fruits and vegetables collected from the four townships and streets(χ2=7.436,P=0.063>0.05).In the acute and chronic dietary risk assessment methods, both the%ARfD and%ADI values of the tested products were less than 100%,indicating acceptable intake risks. The evaluation of the food safety index method for the tested agricultural products showed that the quality and safety risks were within an acceptable range. Conclusion:Fruit and vegetable produce in Chancheng district,Foshan city, has not been found to exceed the standard of putrescine, and the risk of food safety is controllable, but the relevant departments need to continue to carry out dynamic monitoring.
