Etiological Survey and Traceability Analysis of a Food Poisoning Incident Caused by Vibrio parahaemolyticus
Objective:To conduct the laboratory test and traceability analysis on a food poisoning at a rural self hosted wedding banquet.Method:Pathogens were tested from stool samples, anal swabs and hand applied swabs collected.Serotyping,3 types of virulent gene detection, broth microdilution method and PFGE typing tests were performed on Vibrio parahaemolyticus strains.Result:There were 10 cases in this epidemic, the interval between the onset of the first and last cases is 4.75 h.Their clinical symptoms mainly included abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting.A total of 5 Vibrio parahaemolyticus strains were detected and identified as three serotypes, four PFGE patterns and the virulence genes profiles were tlh+tdh+trh-.All five strains were resistance to cefazolin. Conclusion:This foodborne disease event was caused by Vibrio parahaemolyticus at a rural self hosted wedding banquet.
