Changes in the Valence State of Arsenic in Geothermal Water During in Vitro Simulated Gastrointestinal Digestion Stage
Arsenic in geothermal water has certain medicinal value, and the pharmacological and toxic effects of different valence states of ionic arsenic(iAs)vary greatly. This article aims to explore the morphological changes of arsenic in arsenic rich geothermal water during gastric and intestinal digestion stages through in vitro simulation experiments. The result showed that the concentration ratio of iAs Ⅲ/iAs V was independent of the amount of geothermal water consumed during the gastric digestion stage. In the intestinal digestion phase, the concentration ratio of iAs Ⅲ to iAsⅤ is positively correlated with the amount of geothermal water ingested. This study aims to provide technical references for scientifically and effectively evaluating the medical value of arsenic-rich geothermal water to humans.
