Heavy Metal Content and Health Risk Assessment of Potatoes in Bijie City in 2022
To evaluate the content of heavy metals in potatoes sold in Bijie city and their effects on human health after consumption,40 samples were taken from 8 counties(cities and districts)from July to August 2022.The contents of lead(Pb),chromium(Cr),mercury(Hg),cadmium(Cd)and arsenic(As)were determined by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry.The pollution level of heavy metals was evaluated by single factor pollution index,the health risk was evaluated by Nemerow comprehensive pollution index,and the dietary risk was assessed by the target hazard factor method.The results show that the contents of Pb,Cr,Hg,Cd and As in potatoes are all lower than the national standard limits,and the pollution levels of 5 heavy metals are low.There is no obvious health risk for adults or children eating potatoes from Bijie city,and the dietary intake is at a safe level.
