Analysis on Mercury Pollution in Prawn Sold in Zhanjiang City
In order to understand the mercury pollution in prawn sold in Zhanjiang city,Guangdong province,the total mercury content in the head,meat and shell of prawn sold in 5 different varieties of prawn was determined by microwave digestion-inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry,and the mercury pollution in prawn meat was evaluated by single factor index evaluation method.The results showed that the total mercury content in the head of 5 kinds of prawn was the highest,followed by the meat and shell of prawn.Penaeus latisulcatus and Fenneropenaeus chinensis were more likely to be contaminated with mercury than Penaeus japonicus,Litopenaeus vannamei and Metapenaeus ensis.The pollution index of shrimp meat were all less than 0.2,indicating that the mercury pollution was low and consumers could eat it safely.
