Determination of Preservatives in Infant Milk Powder and Children's Food by High Performance Liquid Chromatography
Objective:To establish an analytical method for determining preservatives in infant milk powder and children's food using high-performance liquid chromatography.Method:The sample was extracted with water, precipitated with a protein agent, purified by n-hexane extraction, and quantitatively analyzed by high-performance liquid chromatography.Result:Dehydroacetic acid, benzoic acid, and sorbic acid showed a good linear relationship between 0.5 mg·L-1 to 100.0 mg·L-1,with a detection limit of 0.5 mg·kg-1 to 1.1 mg·kg-1 and a quantification limit of 0.9 mg·kg-1 to 2.2 mg·kg-1;the average recovery rate of spiked samples ranged from 90.1% to 109.2%,with a relative standard deviation of 1.2% to 4.2% (n=6).Conclusion:This method is easy to operate, highly accurate, and suitable for the detection of dehydroacetic acid, benzoic acid, and sorbic acid in infant milk powder and children's food.
