With the rapid development of the food industry and the improvement of consumers'requirements for food safety,food inspection plays a crucial role as the core element of the food safety assurance system.Food inspection through scientific methods and advanced technical means,the safety,nutrition and quality of food are comprehensively tested and evaluated.It can not only detect possible safety hazards in food in time,ensure that food meets national standards and requirements,but also effectively protect the health rights and interests of consumers,prevent unqualified food from flowing into the market,and maintain market order and fair competition.In this paper,the importance and challenges of food inspection in food safety were discussed,and corresponding measures were proposed to provide reference for safeguarding public health and maintaining social stability.
