Study on the Determination Method of Peroxide Value in Vegetable Oil
According to GB 5009.227-2023,safer and easier to obtain dichloromethane and petroleum ether were selected instead of trichloromethane as solvent, and the peroxide values of six vegetable oils, including peanut oil, corn oil, rapeseed oil, sunflower seed oil, olive oil,and soybean oil, were measured and compared with the results obtained by the national standard method. The results showed that the peroxide value of six plant oils was 1.27 mmol·kg-1 to 4.58 mmol·kg-1 according to the national standard method,1.29 mmol·kg-1 to 4.60 mmol·kg-1 in method 1 and 1.19 mmol·kg-1 to 4.74 mmol·kg-1 in method 2.There is no significant difference between the measurement results of method 1 and the national standard method, the accuracy is high, and the use of dichloromethane instead of chloroform can reduce the harm to the human body and the environment, which is conducive to ensuring the safe production of enterprises.
