Study on the Unity of Detection Standards for Total Sugar Content by Direct Titration
In the current food testing standards, the direct titration method(commonly known as the Fehling reagent method)is used to determine the total sugar content in food.Different foods have different designated testing method standard numbers, and the Fehling reagent formula used for titration in different standards is also different. These various forms of testing standards may seem quite complex, but in fact, their basic principles of detection are the same, and the experimental steps are also similar. In view of this, this article attempts to study the determination of total sugar content in various foods using a unified method. The experimental results show that the method proposed in this article can effectively determine the total sugar content in various foods, and the results are accurate and reliable(except for samples with low content, the relative deviation is lower than 1%),which provides strong support for the standardization of direct titration method for measuring total sugar content.
