Determination of Calcium Content in Dairy Products by Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrometry
Objective:To establish a method for determination of calcium content in dairy products by flame atomic absorption spectrometry.Method:Calcium standard solution was prepared with 1%hydrochloric acid. After wet digestion of dairy products, the acid was fully expelled, and lanthanum salt solution was added for constant volume. The determination was carried out on the machine under the conditions of burner height of 10.0 mm,acetylene flow rate of 1 700 mL·min-1,lamp current of 2 mA and spectral passband of 0.4 nm.Result:The linear relationship between calcium content in 0 mg·L-1 to 8.0 mg·L-1 was good, and the limits of detection and quantification were 0.47 mg·kg-1 and 1.41 mg·kg-1,respectively;the average recoveries were 95.9%to 106.7%and the relative standard deviations were 1.8%to 2.1%;the results of blind sample examination with this method were satisfactory. Conclusion:The method has the advantages of simple pretreatment, good reproducibility and high recovery, and is suitable for the determination of calcium content in dairy products.
