Optimization and Quality Control Measures for the Detection of Bisphenol A Migration in Novel Food Packaging Materials
Objective:To establish a sensitive and reliable method for detecting bisphenol A migration in novel food packaging materials.Method:High performance liquid chromatography with diode array detection was used to determine the specific migration of BPA from four novel food packaging materials into four food simulants(10%ethanol,3%acetic acid,n-heptane,and olive oil).Result:The established method had high sensitivity and reproducibility. The BPA migration in all materials did not exceed the standard limit of 0.6 mg·kg-1,but the highest migration was found in 3%acetic acid rang from 0.136 mg·kg-1 to 0.355 mg·kg-1,with the chitosan/cellulose nanocrystal composite film showing higher migration than other materials.
