Establishment and optimization of the determination method of taurine in the processing by-products of Scapharca broughtonii
Objective To establish and optimize spectrophotometric method for detection of taurine content in Scapharca broughtonii. Methods The interaction of chromogenic agent, chromogenic time, chromogenic temperature and the effects on the recovery of taurine were studied by using absorption value as the response value. The optimum conditions for the determination of taurine were confirmed by the spectrophotometric method. Results The linear detection range of this method was 20~300 μg/mL. Test conditions were as follows: chromogenic agent was acetyl acetone: 37% formaldehyde: 1 mol/L sodium acetate (1:0. 3:4, V:V:V), chromogenic time was 9 min, chromogenic temperature was 60 ℃, and detection wavelength was 330 nm. Conclusion This method has good reproducibility, simple operation and short detection time, which can be used in the determination of taurine content in shellfish.
