In order to comprehensively evaluate the quality of ginger(Zingiber officinale)from different origins, the contents of 6-gingerol,8-gingerol,10-gingerol,volatile oil and physicochemical indexes of 42 ginger samples from Honghe,Wenshan,Qujing,Leshan and Jining are determined. The quality and classification of ginger are evaluated by chemometrics.Cluster analysis and principal component analysis are carried out by using OriginPro 2023 software. The clustering results show that there is a correlation between samples and variables from different origins, among which the samples from Honghe,Wenshan and Qujing in Yunnan Province are similar, and Qianwei County of Leshan City is similar to Jining sample.PCA shows that the sample distribution of Yunnan Province is more concentrated, the samples from the two origins in Leshan are relatively similar, and the samples of Jianwei County and Jining City are relatively similar. The comprehensive score results show that the comprehensive score of Yunnan Province samples is relatively high. The orthogonal partial least square discriminant analysis is carried out by using SIMCA14.1 software. The samples of Yunnan Province,Leshan City and Jining City can be distinguished effectively.Volatile oil, total ash and 8-gingerol are the representative differences among the three groups.
