"Food Safety and Hygiene"is an important foundational course in the field of food hygiene and nutrition.In order to improve the quality of ideological and political education in the course,this article combines the characteristics of"Food Safety and Hygiene"with teaching practice to propose the connotation and significance of ideological and political education in the course.Reform and exploration are carried out from several aspects such as the implementation of ideological and political education in the course,the teaching methods of ideological and political education in the course,and the evaluation methods of ideological and political education in the course,It is in order to achieve the organic integration of professional courses and ideological and political elements,assist students in their comprehensive development,and effectively promote the talent cultivation system and subject construction in higher education institutions.
