Study on Phenolic Components and Antioxidant Activity of Chimonanthus salicifolius Ethanol Extract
The phenolic components of Chimonanthus salicifolius ethanol extract were analyzed by ultra-high performance liquid chromatography and the triple-quadrupole tandem mass spectrometry(UPLC-MS/MS).The in vitro antioxidant activity of Chimonanthus salicifolius ethanol extract was evaluated. The results showed that the content of total polyphenol was 169.18±2.49 mg/g in the Chimonanthus salicifolius ethanol extract. The Chimonanthus salicifolius ethanol extract could effectively scavenge the 2,2'-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid)(ABTS),hydroxyl,1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl(DPPH),and superoxide anion free radicals with the median inhibition concentration(IC50)values of 8.98 μg/mL,16.21 mg/mL,46.10μg/mL,and 2.85 mg/mL,respectively.The Chimonanthus salicifolius ethanol extract also had a reduction capacity. The Chimonanthus salicifolius is a good ingredient for the development of natural antioxidants in food products.
