Optimization of Extraction Process and Hypolipidemic Function of Chia Seed Oil
Study the metabolic effects of chia seed oil extracted from chia seeds on hyperlipidemic mice. The optimal process of ultrasound-assisted petroleum ether extraction of chia seed oil was optimized using one-factor test and response surface test.Liquid-solid ratio, ultrasonic power and ultrasonic time were used as the one-factor conditions, the chia seed oil yield was used as the evaluation index to determine the optimal levels of each factor, and the hypolipidemic function of chia seed oil was also investigated. The results showed that the optimal process conditions for chia seed oil extraction were liquid-solid ratio of 15∶1(mL/g),ultrasonic time of 64 min,and ultrasonic power of 320 W.Under these conditions, chia seed oil yield was 30.12%±0.19%.As shown in the in vivo lipid-lowering animal experiments, chia seed oil could effectively inhibit triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC)and low density lipoprotein-Cholesterol(LDL-C)content in hyperlipidaemic mice, and increase the content of HDL-C.Chia seed oil has a certain hypolipidemic function, which lays the foundation for the in-depth study of the mechanism of action of chia seed oil.
