Study on the Effect of Combination of the Volatile Oil Nutmeg and Zanthoxylum on Infiltration promotion
The volatile oil of nutmeg and Zanthoxylum is extracted by steam distillation.Matrine is used as experimental drug, and azone is used as positive control, while carbomer 940 is used as gel matrix.Transdermal test is performed in vitro, which the skin of rat abdomen is simulated by Franz diffusion method. The content of matrine is determined by HPLC,and its cumulative permeability, transdermal rate and skin retention are calculated. The results show that the different concentrations of phytovolatile oil can promote the transdermal absorption of matrine as well. When using the type of 6%complex volatile oil,it comes to the best permeability promoting effect, and the effect of volatile oil is better than that of single volatile oil.Plant volatile oil can promote the transdermal absorption of matrine, and the combination of nutmeg and Zanthoxylum is reasonable, and it can be used as an excellent osmotic enhancer in external preparations and cosmetics.
