Optimization Technique of Ultrasonic-Assisted Extraction of Vitamin C from Catnip by RSM
This paper studied the optimization technique of ultrasound-assisted extraction of catnip vitamin C by response surface methodology.According to single factor experimental results, the experiment was designed and optimized using the Central Composite Design. The results showed the optimal extraction condition was ethanol concentration 70%,the liquid material ratio 30∶1(mL/g),ultrasonic temperature 60 ℃,and ultrasonic time 30 min.Under the condition, the vitamin C extraction yield was 24.39 mg/g,and it was close with the value predicted from the theoretical model which was 24.46 mg/g.Antioxidant determination of extracts was carried out, which indicated that the response surface model was effective and reliable. The research provided certain theoretical basis for the industrial extraction of vitamin C from catnip.
