Evaluation of the Nutritional Value of Meal Substitutes in Chinese Markets by INQ and Entropy-Weighted TOPSIS Method
With more and more attention being paid to obesity and its complications, meal replacement food with weight loss effect has gradually become a hot consumption spot.In order to investigate the nutritional status of meal replacement food in China,50 kinds of meal replacement food were selected for data collection and analysis. The Nutritional quality index(INQ)of core nutrients was calculated, combined with the entropy weight TOPSIS method(good and bad distance method),and the data were processed and analyzed according to the index requirements of the Dietary Nutrient Reference Intake of Chinese Residents(2023 edition)and the group standard T/CNSS 002-2019 Meal Replacement Food. The results showed that all the samples failed to meet the dietary energy requirement(EER),and there were some problems such as uneven ratio of productive nutrients, generally low fat content, generally high sodium content, and large individual differences in protein content, which reflected the status of nutritional imbalance and low nutritional evaluation. Therefore, the current market meal replacement food cannot be used as a long-term single food source, and in the daily diet, people should pay attention to a balanced diet, with other foods to eat.
