Metabolomics Analysis of Terpenoid Metabolites in Leaves of Lycium barbarum from Different Origins in Ningxia
To compare the differences in terpenoid metabolites of Lycium barbarum leaves from different origins and to further explore the active substances of Lycium barbarum leaves, using UPLC-MS/MS to perform extensive targeted metabolomics analysis of Lycium barbarum leaves from the origins of Yinchuan,Zhongwei and Guyuan, screen for the differential metabolites by combining various statistical analyses, such as clustering and multivariate statistics. The results of showed that a total of 12 terpenoids were detected in the three groups of Lycium barbarum leaf samples, mainly sesquiterpenes, and triterpenes,of which 6 were sesquiterpenes and 6 were triterpenes.PCA and OPLS-DA analyses showed significant differences in terpenoid metabolites of Lycium barbarum leaves among the three origins.A total of 4 differential metabolites were screened between the 2 origins of Yinchuan and Zhongwei, with 1 up-regulated and 3 down-regulated.A total of 8 differential metabolites were screened between the 2 origins of Yinchuan and Guyuan, with 2 up-regulated and 6 down-regulated.A total of 6 differential metabolites were screened between the 2 origins of Zhongwei and Guyuan, with 5 up-regulated and 1 down-regulated.There were significant differences in terpene metabolites in the leaves of Lycium barbarum from different origins, and the experiment provided research basis and data for further excavation and utilisation of active substances of Lycium barbarum leaves.
